Arts or treasures in the plural, “founoun” is Arabic
for Art, but say it in any language and immediately
the goddess of beauty is evoked, with all its
passion and sensibility.
This word is also the name of a team of individuals
who have been at work in the world of art for so
many years. The team of Founoun is very well known
in North America for its professionalism and the
richness and variety of its programming and the
quality of its productions. The people at Founoun
are masters in organizing and directing culture
events, concerts and festivals of the artistic and
cultural aspects of the Arab peoples.
Meanwhile, being in this field led to the creation
of a specialized publication that responds to the
pressing needs of the Arabic-speaking community in
Canada, but more particularly in Montreal.
Free-spirited and independent, the publication, also
called Founoun, addresses exclusively the artistic
and cultural life of Arab Canadians and the Arab
World (the Middle East and the Maghreb region).
Today, the city of Montreal boasts a myriad of
ethnic groups, who mix and mingle in harmony and
diversity with a sense of generosity and
collaboration, and this aspect of the city adds an
immense wealth of information and output to the
written media, where the newspaper Founoun has
become a key player. In fact, Founoun has become
since its launch in 2003 as a source of information
that constantly diversified and up to date: theatre,
cinema, music, song, fashion… it all constitutes a
solid reservoir of themes.
Every aspect of art and culture take a special
expression once treated by the careful pen of our
writers, reporters, critics, and correspondents.
The artistic and cultural dynamism of the big cities
in Canada and the Arab regions of the Middle East
and the Maghreb feed our pages, which make this
wonderful universe available to our readers, who are
becoming increasingly numerous (Arabic speakers of
Lebanese, Egyptian, Syrian, Moroccan, Algerian and
other origins).
Founoun is proud today to be the Arabic journal of
the Canadian Arab community and to pay homage in
every issue to all those individuals who made a
difference in the world of Arab art and culture in
Canada and elsewhere.

throughout the year except for the special issues
that appear a few times a year (see below).
The insert outline, artwork, and details should be
submitted to Founoun within a comfortable time span
to permit for the verification of compliance with
the conditions and specs of contents in the insert
contract between both parties.

Founoun will charge additional work on the insert
beyond the contract conditions as extra.

Ramadan Special: Moving date (lunar month).
Founoun should receive requests for advertisement in
the special editions any time before the week of the
market date. The date limit for accepting requests
is two days before the date (i.e., Tuesday before
the market date of Thursday).
The special editions contain no inserts and
advertisers are recommended to promote their
products within the special edition.
Conditions and specs
Advertising in Founoun
1.
Frequency: bi-monthly, market date: Thursday.
2.
Reservation: 12 days before the market date up to 48
hours before sending to the printer (at noon on
Tuesday).
Cancellation: clients can cancel their advertising
requests up to 48 hours before market date.
3.
Production: there will be a charge on all ads
conceived by the newspaper; all production materials
are also subject to billing; with agreement of the
client, materials will be charged as extra above the
cost of purchase of the advertising space.
4.
Materials: file specs: JPG 300 DPI, PDF, PSD 300
DPI, (Grayscale – CMYK).

Quality location ads: a markup of 25% will be
applied on requests to place the ad in a prime
location in the newspaper.

Reduction in cost will be awarded according to the
following schedule:
- $2,600 to $7,000: 5%
- $7,001 to $15,000: 10%
- $15,001 to $26,000: 15%
- $26,000 to $30,000: 20%
- $30,001 to $45,000: 25%
- $45,001 and over: 35%

ولدت مطبوعة "فنون"
كصحيفة حرّة ومستقلة، لتكرّس صفحاتها
للحقل الفني والثقافي العربي في كندا والعالم العربي
(المشرق والمغرب العربي)

كان طبيعياً أن نصدر في مونتريال المدينة
الكوسموبوليتية العابقة بأجواء التنوع الاثني والثقافي

تضيف وتقدم إلى هذه البيئة الغنية ما عندنا كجالية من عطاءات ابداعية في شتى

ورسم ونحت وأزياء ومطبخ. إنّها مصدر للمعلومات يتجدد
ويتنوع باستمرار وكأنـّه نبع ماء

كل حقل فني يلقى اهتمام أقلامنا الخبيرة الذكية بما
تملكه من مقدرات لغوية وثقافية ومعلومات وفكر ثاقب،
بينها الصحافي والأديب والمصور والشاعر والقاص
والمراسل من دنيا العرب. تتغذى صحيفة فنون من
الديناميكية الفنية والثقافية التي تنتعش في مونتريال
وكندا وكذلك في مدن العالم العربي. فتصل إلى القارىء

إلغاء الاعلان بعد ظهر الثلاثاء الذي يسبق موعد السوق
يوم الخميس.

كل الاعلانات التي تصممها فنون تخضع لتعرفة متفق
عليها.
كل أعمال اضافية على الاعلان تخضع لتعرفة يتفق عليها
مع صاحب الاعلان وتزاد على تعرفة المساحة المطلوبة.

لا تقبل فنون اصدار الكراسات ضمن عددها الخاص، بل في
